Four Legs Physiotherapy is owned & operated by Jude Coombs, & specialises in canine, sport horse & human physiotherapy.


Having ridden competitively in eventing, show jumping & dressage from a young age in England, Jude developed a passion for working with animals. Following a move to NZ in 2006, & after having a family, Jude completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy through the University of Liverpool.


Whether your animal is a pet or a high level athlete, Jude uses a variety of treatment techniques to help improve their quality of life, function as well as reduce pain & discomfort. She has also completed courses in dry needling, myofascial release, & vestibular treatment


Rehabilitation programmes are individualised & based on a thorough whole animal assessment, as well as close communication with your Veterinary Surgeon.


Four Legs Physiotherapy also offers combined horse & rider assessment, as well as human physiotherapy including treating any injuries through ACC.


Jude's qualifications include;

  • Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physiotherapy (BSc Physiotherapy) - Sheffield Hallam University. UK (2002)

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy (PGDip Veterinary Physiotherapy) - University of Liverpool. UK (2021)

  • Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT Category A - Overseas)

  • Australian & New Zealand Animal & Veterinary Physiotherapy Association (ANZAVPA).

  • Member of Physiotherapy New Zealand (PNZ)

  • NZ Physiotherapy Board registered (NZPB)
